About Us
Aden Electrical Limited was founded in 1986 by Greg Froude and soon grew into one of New Zealand largest electrical companies, developing a reputation for reliability and top quality workmanship. An Electrician himself completing his apprenticeship 30 years ago, Greg attributes Aden Electricals success to the team he had in place and their commitment to providing professional service. Hence our mission statement;
"Our mission is to exceed client expectations and focus on quality results and professional service at all times."
A quality system was developed and implemented that was certified against the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. Procedures were developed in conjunction with clients to ensured smooth progress and cost-efficient delivery of projects or service and maintenance to clients. Emphasis on communication at every stage ensured client’s mile stones were met and progress kept pace with deadlines and delivery.
A Wellington Branch was opened in 1996 as part of the company's business plan to develop a nationwide operation. In 2002 a Christchurch Branch was opened, expanding the company into the South Island and in 2004 a Dunedin Branch was opened. Two more branches were added late in 2007, one in Hamilton and one in Nelson.
Aden was now carrying out work nationally, predominantly in the major centers, not only new work for the larger nationwide building companies but service and maintenance work for nationwide retailers and businesses. Aden was also carrying out work for the local population and local businesses.
With Greg’s passion for and his wanting to see excellence in business, having already been recognised by The Ministry of Business Development awarding Aden Electrical its Business Development Award for Quality Service two years in a row, Greg decided that he wanted to share this successful formula with other electrical companies.
The logical step was to franchise so the Aden Franchise Group was founded in 2009 to take the systems and processes Greg had developed over the years to other electrical businesses where often their size and the costs made access to these systems and processes prohibitive.
Franchising unlike regional branches allowed for a more local and intermit penetration into the New Zealand market, putting us right on our client’s door steps and allowing local electrical businesses to share in the collective strength of the Aden brand’s reputation, have the benefits of proven systems and processes, yet still be able to retain their local independence.
Greg bought in Austin Rasmussen to put in place the franchise network. Austin’s many years of experience in the electrical industry and having worked with another trade’s based franchise network made him ideally suited to understand the requirements of an electrical franchise business, and provide the on going coaching and support needed to ensure consistency in the delivery of service to clients.
Greg again has put together a team of people and businesses commitment to providing professional service and Aden Franchise Group’s support team monitor and regularly visits Aden Electrical franchises to ensure that the franchise network maintains the reputation for reliability and top quality workmanship, the core values that Aden was founded and grew on all those years ago.
